UAE: The second Digital Publishing Forum will take Place in Dubai

On October 25, Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) will inaugurate the second edition of the Digital Publishing Forum in collaboration with the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library Foundation (MBRL).
The forum intends to strengthen Dubai Culture's role in tackling the difficulties confronting the digital publishing sector, as well as to explore new solutions and actionable proposals to help this crucial sector grow.
The Mohammed Bin Rashid Library (MBRL) will host the event, which is expected to draw professionals, academics, publishers, specialists, intellectuals, and writers to share their experiences, thoughts, and ambitions.
The main session, titled 'Future of Digital Publishing in the UAE,' will feature Mohammed Al-Zarooni, Deputy Director-General of the Information and Digital Government Sector, Abdulrahman Al Muaini, Assistant Undersecretary for the Intellectual Property Sector at the Ministry of Economy, and Afra Atiq, an Emirati poet; Ayoub Youssef will moderate the session.
The forum will begin with an introduction workshop titled 'Safe Publishing on Digital Platforms' organised by Dubai Electronic Security Centre.
The session will cover issues concerning the security of content on digital platforms to which the publisher may be exposed.
In addition, Emirati publishing houses will be included in the 'Brainstorming Laboratory' to explore their future vision and proposals for digital publication.
Parallel interactive sessions will be held during the forum. These include 'Publishing in the Age of Digitalisation (Artificial Intelligence, Opportunities, and Challenges),' moderated by Iman Al-Youssef, and attended by Sherif Bakr, Director of Al Arabi Publishing House, and Shadi Al-Hassan, Executive Director of Rofouf Company; and 'The Digital Publishing Market (Evolution and Future),' which will feature Rashid Al Kous, Executive Director of the Emirates Publishers Association, Author Amira Abu
Another concurrent session is 'Digital Publishing Technologies: Between Impact and Influence,' moderated by Amal Sheikhan and attended by Ahmed Al-Yassi from the Emirates Intellectual Property Association and Mr. Mustafa Youssef from Higher Colleges of Technology.
The event will also hold a virtual session titled 'The Role of Digital Publishing in Sustainability,' conducted by Rasha Ramadan and featuring Emad Abu Eid.
Through Rofouf, Noon, and Zodiac Media, the Digital Publishing Forum will provide a creative and interactive space for its audience, introducing them, in collaboration with a group of experts and specialists, to ways to publish their work via audio and digital book applications, as well as ways of listing, promoting, and displaying it.
